Spot UV business cards

Spot UV business cards or spot varnished cards (some call it spot gloss cards) is one of Little Pigs Printing’s specialties. By applying a clear UV gloss onto a matte cello-glazed card surfaces, it adds an additional shiny feeling to the design of the card without changing the surface like the traditional embossing or raised printing, so the final products look neat, sleek and smooth.

The best way to describe the look and feel of spot UV is to say that the clear UV varnish is like a very thin layer of nail varnish, except that it’s much more advanced and precise in application, whether it’s (text or image) that you’d like to impress the card receivers first, such as the logo, tagline or the major service your business is about.

A skilful use of spot UV in the design gives the card subtlety, quality and impact that makes your cards stand out from the crowd. It is also a great finish to be applied to brochures, presentation folders as well as product catalogues or product packaging to achieve a formative and consistent impression.
